Yesterday, a Sunday as it happened, I don’t know what came over me.
When at 7am my dog roused me from my slumber and I let him out to do his morning business, instead of my typical self-launching into tidying up the house or whatever other tasks I had on my to-do-list, I looked at my dog with a serious face and said: “Hudson, what do you think about us going back to bed?”
(He happily agreed).
So that’s just what we did.
After a second sleep, there was lounging with a book in bed. There was playing NYT word games on my phone. Later there was playing some banjo, some guitar, more lounging on the couch with my book, a second nap… you get the idea.
It was, to put it simply, “A Day Well Wasted.”
When was the last time you purely and utterly wasted a day? This is a question most worth considering.
For truly, it’s not a waste at all. Quite the contrary!
Just watch how after your wasted day, that productive part of yourself will come alive once again – with vigor!
It’s called feeling refreshed, recharged, and rejuvenated. And I highly recommend it.
