Scan This: 3 Clever QR Code Marketing Tricks

Do you remember the short-lived era during which QR codes starting popping up but no one knew what they were or how to use them?

Well, that time is long past. These days QR codes are all around us: at restaurants, on airplanes, at festivals, and just about everywhere else.

Are you using them in your marketing? If not, you might be missing out. Read on to learn about three clever ways you can incorporate QR codes into how you market your business.

Trick #1: Put a QR Code on Your Business Card

Some people say business cards are a thing of the past, but not so! They may have a short lifespan, but serve an important purpose. For recipients they act as a physical reminder to connect with you once they get home, sit down, are at their computer next, etc. A QR code on your card makes it that much easier to take action. You can even create a QR code to your personal vCard so others can add you to their phone’s contacts with one click!

Trick #2: Add a QR Code to Leave a Review on a Thank You Card<?h3>

Do you send thank you cards to your clients? (Or, if cards aren’t your thing, check out my post 10 Creative Ways to Say Thank You for more ideas). In the midst of expressing thanks is a great time to ask for a review, and a QR code makes it simple for your clients to get to the right place.

Trick #3: Use QR Codes to Give People the Help They Need When They Need It

I was recently assembling a piece of furniture, and got confused on one of the steps. At the top of the page, I noticed a QR code that took me to a video which showed me exactly what to do on that step! I must say, I was impressed. There’s just nothing better than getting exactly what you need when you need it. If you offer any kind of print materials as part of your services, QR codes are a fantastic way to offer help just when it’s needed.

In Closing

Who knows, maybe in 10 years QR codes will be a thing of the past, replaced by something we can’t quite imagine now, but for now – they’re a useful tool that can make things easier for your audience and also help you achieve your goals as a business owner. So, why not take advantage?
